NNTicket· Every man-day approved, every month closed

Every man-day approved, every month locked.

NNTicket gets every estimate approved by the customer, draws effort from the contract pool and closes the month in one step, for firms that sell support and development in man-days. Nothing gets re-added in a spreadsheet at month end.

In short

NNTicket is man-day tracking software that links the estimate, the customer's approval, actual effort and the contract pool on the same record. The project manager builds a line-item estimate in 0.25 man-day steps, and the customer's approver decides in the portal or by replying “approve” to the e-mail. Approved effort is drawn from the contract pool, and the team is alerted at 80% and 100% usage. At month end, “Bill and lock” freezes each customer's totals, closes the month to further effort entries and sends every customer their own service summary.

Sound familiar?

01

Month-end man-day totals live in spreadsheets

Effort is logged in several places, and at month end someone has to merge it all and work out a total for each customer by hand.

02

Invoices meet “we never approved that”

The man-day cost of a job was agreed verbally, not on record. When the invoice goes out, who accepted what becomes a debate.

03

The contract pool runs dry without warning

A man-day bundle or monthly quota is used up, but the team keeps working unaware. Extra work goes unbilled, or the customer relationship takes the hit.

04

Closed months keep changing

Effort gets added to a month that has already been billed, and the total in the system no longer matches the invoice you sent.

FAQ

Questions you might have.

Which contract types are supported?

Three: a bulk man-day bundle, a monthly quota with optional carry-over, and a maintenance agreement. Contract documents are attached to the record, and automatic alerts fire when pool usage reaches 80% and 100%.

What happens when a job outgrows its estimate?

The project manager raises an additional effort request on top of the approved estimate. It goes to the customer's approver through the same flow as the original, so every billed man-day has a written approval behind it.

Can customers see our actual effort?

No. Customers see the estimate they approved; actual effort, internal notes and price fields are removed on the server and never reach a user without permission.

Can a locked month be changed afterwards?

No. “Bill and lock” freezes the month's totals, and no effort can be added or edited for that month. The invoice number and date are recorded at the same time, so the invoice you sent and the total in the system always match.

Does internal work end up on the invoice?

No. Effort logged on internal projects is kept separate. The billing report totals only approved customer effort per customer and month and splits it into billable and non-billable.
